Privacy Policy

The short version: Plumi is built to keep your baby's data on your device. We don't require an account, we don't run third-party analytics, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data. The only time anything leaves your phone is optional iCloud sync (which you turn on) and the Magic AI camera (which sends one photo per scan). This policy explains the details.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Plumi ("Plumi", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the Plumi mobile application and the website at plumi.app (together, the "Service"). If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Data stored on your device

The information you enter into Plumi — your baby's profile, logs (feeds, diapers, sleep, growth, health events, milestones), checklists, shopping list, notes and photos — is stored locally on your device. We do not have a copy of it on our servers, and we cannot read it.

3. Information we do not collect

• We do not require you to create an account to use the core app.
• We do not include third-party advertising or advertising identifiers.
• We do not embed third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent personal data.

4. Optional iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, your Plumi data is synced through your own private iCloud account so it can be backed up and used across your devices. This uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this data ourselves. Sync is off by default and you can turn it off at any time.

5. Magic AI Camera Assistant

The Magic AI Camera Assistant is the only feature that sends data off your device, and only when you actively use it. When you take a scan:

• A single photo is sent securely to our processing service to detect what you're trying to log.
• The service returns suggestions (for example, "bottle, about 120 ml") which are shown to you to confirm and save on your device.
• The photo is processed to provide that result and is not used to build advertising or marketing profiles. We may retain limited, non-identifying technical logs to operate and secure the service and to enforce usage limits.

To power detection, the photo may be processed by a third-party AI provider acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. If you never use Magic AI, no photos ever leave your device.

6. Accounts and subscriptions

You only create an account — using Sign in with Apple or Google — if you choose to subscribe to Plumi Premium, so your subscription can be linked across your devices. In that case we store a minimal account record (such as a provider identifier and, where provided, an email address) and your subscription status. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive your card details.

7. How information is used

• To provide the Service and the features you use.
• To operate, secure and improve the Magic AI feature and enforce fair-use limits.
• To manage Premium subscriptions for users who choose to subscribe.
• To respond to you when you contact us.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as the AI processing provider and Apple for payments and iCloud), and only as needed for those purposes, or where required by law.

9. Data retention & deletion

Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app. If you contact support or subscribe, we retain related records only as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law. To request deletion of any account information, email [email protected].

10. Children

Plumi is designed for parents and caregivers to record information about their own children. It is intended for use by adults (18+). The app is not directed to children, and children should not use it directly.

11. Security

On-device data is protected by your device's built-in security. Data in transit for the Magic AI feature is encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because most data stays on your device, you can exercise many of these directly in the app. For anything else, contact [email protected].

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
