How we research baby care questions, explain uncertainty and keep our articles trustworthy.
Our purpose
Plumi publishes practical guides that help parents understand everyday baby care and record useful information. We write for clarity and calm, not to replace a pediatrician, midwife, dentist or other qualified professional.
Sources
Health and development claims are checked against current guidance from public-health agencies, professional medical organizations, hospitals, universities or peer-reviewed research. We prefer the original guidance over summaries and link sources beside the claims they support.
Authors and reviewers
Every article names its author. Articles credited to The Plumi Team are researched and edited by the people who build Plumi. We do not present the team as clinicians. If a qualified professional reviews an article, we name that person and their credentials only after the review has taken place.
Health and safety
Articles explain when home observation may be reasonable and when professional or urgent care is appropriate. They do not diagnose an individual child. When guidance differs between authorities, we describe the difference instead of hiding it.
Updates and corrections
We add an updated date when a meaningful factual change is made. If reliable guidance changes, we revise the affected article and its sources. To report a possible error, email hello@plumi.app with the article URL and the detail you would like us to check.
Product references
Some guides link to relevant Plumi features or calculators. These links are clearly part of the same website. Editorial conclusions are not purchased, and Plumi does not accept paid placements in its baby care guides.
