A running record of the baby’s day
A nanny daily log records feeds, naps, diapers, medicine, activities and notes for the next caregiver. In Plumi, the nanny adds each event when it happens, parents see the update on their own phone, and the handoff is already organized by pickup time.

Nanny log questions
Does the nanny have to pay for anything?
No. The nanny uses Plumi with a free account, and sharing works as long as one person in the family has Plumi Pro. One subscription covers your partner, grandparents and every caregiver.
Do we share one account or login?
Never. Everyone gets their own login. That means every feed, nap and diaper carries the name of whoever logged it, and when the arrangement ends you remove their access without touching your own account or changing a shared password.
What exactly can a nanny see and do?
As a caregiver they see everything for the children you share and can log the day: feeds, sleep, diapers, timers, routine items, allergies. They can’t edit the baby profile, change reminders or lists, export data, or invite anyone. The full breakdown is on the family sharing page.
Can I share one child but not my other kids?
Yes, and it’s real separation, not a hidden tab: each child has their own encryption key, and the invite only carries the keys for the children you picked. A child you didn’t share is invisible by design on the nanny’s phone.
Can a nanny work for two families at once?
Yes. A nanny can be part of more than one family, keep the two sets of children completely separate, and leave one family without touching the other. Each family only ever sees its own children.
Is there still a “daily report”?
The journal is the report, written as the day happens: totals up top, the timeline below, filterable to feeds, naps or diapers. There is nothing to type up at 6 p.m. or lose in a text thread.
How do I set expectations for the day?
Put the day in the daily routine: tummy time, vitamin D, the 12:30 bottle. The nanny ticks items off as they go, you see progress live, and any routine item can carry a reminder. There’s also a shared shopping list for “we’re low on wipes.”
What happens when the nanny stops working for us?
Remove them in Settings. They stop receiving anything new immediately, and the next time their app connects it deletes your child’s data from their phone after saving them a backup of what they themselves logged.
Is our baby’s data private?
Yes. Everything is end-to-end encrypted. Entries are encrypted on the phone before upload, and the keys travel only inside invite links, never to our servers. We can’t read a feed, name or photo, and neither can anyone you haven’t invited.
Does this work for daycare or grandparents too?
The caregiver role fits anyone who helps: a grandparent on Tuesdays, a babysitter, a daycare worker with an iPhone. Up to 5 people per child, each with their own role. For splitting parenting duties with a partner, see family sharing.
