What is a nanny daily log?
A running record of the baby’s day
A nanny daily log records feeds, naps, diapers, medicine, activities and handoff notes. With Plumi Pro, parents and the nanny use the same log on their own phones. Entries sync when connected.

Nanny log questions
Does the nanny have to pay for anything?
No. The nanny uses Plumi with a free account, and sharing works as long as one person in the family has Plumi Pro. One subscription covers your partner, grandparents and every caregiver.
Do we share one account or login?
No. Everyone signs in with their own account. Entries show who logged them, and you can remove a caregiver’s access when the arrangement ends.
What exactly can a nanny see and do?
As a caregiver they see everything for the children you share and can log the day: feeds, sleep, diapers, timers, routine items, allergies. They can’t edit the baby profile, change reminders or lists, export data, or invite anyone. The full breakdown is on the family sharing page.
Can I share one child but not my other kids?
Yes. The invite includes only the selected children’s encryption keys and records. Your other children’s records are not sent to the nanny.
Can a nanny work for two families at once?
Yes. A nanny can be part of more than one family, keep the two sets of children completely separate, and leave one family without touching the other. Each family only ever sees its own children.
Is there still a “daily report”?
The journal shows the entries, daily totals and a timeline you can filter to feeds, naps or diapers. Agree on what to record and use the handoff to discuss anything unusual or missing.
How do I set expectations for the day?
Add the care tasks you have agreed on to the daily routine. The nanny checks them off, and updates sync when connected. With Plumi Pro, parents can add reminders to routine tasks.
What happens when the nanny stops working for us?
Remove their access in Settings. They stop receiving new updates, and their caregiver copy of the child’s records is removed from the app on their next connection. Previously saved copies cannot be revoked.
Is our baby’s data private?
Shared care records are encrypted before upload, so Plumi’s servers cannot read them. Invite links carry the keys, so send them only to people you trust with your child’s information.
Does this work for daycare or grandparents too?
The caregiver role fits anyone who helps: a grandparent on Tuesdays, a babysitter, a daycare worker with an iPhone. Up to 5 people per child, including the sharing owner, each with their own role. For splitting parenting duties with a partner, see family sharing.
