Frequently asked questions
How do I get started?
Download Plumi from the App Store, open it, and add your baby — name, birthday, and an optional photo. That takes under a minute, and there’s no account to create. You’ll land on the Today screen, ready to log.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Plumi works fully without an account. You only sign in (with Apple or Google) if you choose to upgrade to Premium, so your subscription can follow you across devices.
How do I back up or move my data to a new phone?
Turn on optional iCloud sync in Settings to keep your data backed up to your private iCloud account and available on your other devices. Plumi also keeps recent local backups you can restore from in Settings → Backup.
Is my baby’s data private?
Yes. By default everything stays on your device — no servers, no analytics, no ads. The only feature that uses the internet is the Magic AI camera, which sends a single photo per scan to detect what you’re logging. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store. On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Plumi, and tap Cancel. You’ll keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
How do I delete my data?
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. You can also clear individual babies and entries inside the app. If you use iCloud sync, removing the data on one synced device removes it everywhere.
Can I track more than one baby?
Yes — add as many baby profiles as you like and switch between them in a tap. Each baby keeps its own logs, checklists, and settings.
The Magic AI didn’t recognise my photo. What now?
Try a clearer, well-lit photo of a single item (a bottle, thermometer, plate or diaper). If it still can’t tell, you can always log manually — it only takes a tap or two. We’re continually improving detection.
